Want to learn more about what makes the people at Booost Education tick? From perfect weekends to favourite trips, we’ve been chatting with everyone to give you the inside scoop on the people working behind the scenes. Today, we’re speaking with Chrissy Basting, and learning all about how they wound up as Operations Lead here at Booost Education.
What drew you to Booost?

I've worked in the DSA industry previously and everyone who knows Tim & Laura (the founders of Booost) can see that they always put the students first. Everything Booost does has the students at heart and I really wanted to become part of the team so I can support the students in their journey of overcoming their challenges.

When did you know you wanted to work in your field?

I started 'working' in Operations when I was 11 - my friends & I set up a business during the summer holidays and as everyone said I'm the organised one I naturally fell into the role of set up our processes, HR and invoicing. Unfortunately, our parents weren't too impressed that we were selling their bottles of wine & other alcoholic beverages (oops!) so they shut us down. Many years later I studied Business Management and continued on working for start ups needing organising - anything to do with processes, people & events is my thing.

What does your perfect weekend look like?

Friday evening has got to be Netflix even though I'll be asleep by 9pm on the sofa! Saturday starts with a long gym session (weights & cardio) followed by a Pilates class. Then a little bit (ok this should read lots) of shopping and catching up with friends over food or a relaxing spa visit.

Best trip you've been on and why?

Santa's Lapland in Finland, I will never forget the children's faces when they visited Santa and the elves, it was magical
